Our history of reliable performance insures Ohmega-Ply® a solid place in technology's future.

Since our inception, Ohmega Technologies, Inc. has been committed to producing the world's most efficient and reliable thin film resistive material, Ohmega-Ply®. In application, Ohmega-Ply® transforms passive printed circuit boards into electronic circuits with integral resistors. We have accomplished this without a single field failure of an Ohmega-Ply® resistor due to the resistive material in over twenty years of use in millions of circuit boards and trillions of component hours of operation.

We have had the pleasure of working with many of the world's largest and most innovative high technology electronics companies and welcome the opportunity to include you and your company among this group of end users.

Ohmega-Ply® Planar Resistor Technology

Advantages and Applications

Ohmega-Ply® resistors are formed within a plane of circuitry using standard subtractive print and etch circuit board processing. The product can be processed by virtually any printed circuit board manufacturer using conventional processing equipment and chemistries.

Ohmega-Ply® Advantages are:

Increased Active Circuit Density
  • Replace discrete resistors
  • Build resistors on a board surface or inside a multilayer circuit board
  • Reduce circuit board size
  • Save weight
  • Convert double sided SMT to single sided SMT
Improved Electrical Performance
  • Reduce signal path to resistors
  • Provide low inductance
  • Improve signal integrity
  • Reduce surface EMI
Improved Reliability
  • Eliminate solder joints
  • Increase loaded board testability
  • Reduce number of through holes and vias
  • Simplify rework
Reduced costs
  • Eliminate discrete resistors and their attendant costs
  • Reduce rework
  • Reduce board size
  • Increase board yield

Ohmega-Ply® is ideal for applications where high resistor density is required or where the electronic package size is critical.
